Profit/Loss Percentage

How much you've gained or lost since your initial investments

Good Sign

+25% means your $1,000 investment is now worth $1,250

Warning Sign

-40% might mean you bought at the peak of a crypto bubble

Tip: Don't panic at temporary losses. Many successful investors have been down 50%+ before making huge gains.

How to Read Your Overall Performance

Great Performance

+20% or higher over 6+ months

Good Performance

+5% to +20% over 6+ months

Breaking Even

-5% to +5% (totally normal!)

Important: Even experienced investors see temporary losses of 20-50% during market downturns. What matters is the long-term trend, not daily fluctuations.

Common Dashboard Reading Mistakes

Avoid these beginner traps when interpreting your portfolio

Checking Too Often

Checking your portfolio every hour leads to emotional decisions. Once a week is plenty for long-term investing.

Panicking at Red Numbers

Red doesn't always mean "sell!" Market dips are normal and often temporary. Focus on long-term trends.

Ignoring Allocation

Having 90% of your money in one crypto is risky. Even if it's Bitcoin, consider diversifying.

Comparing to Others

Your portfolio performance should match YOUR goals and risk tolerance, not your friend's lucky pick.
